i received a call from this number that left a voice mail asking my mom (not in any way attached to my phone plan) by first and last name to call them back. i suspect scam because she has nothing in her name, (no bills, no mortgage,no cars, no debt, no credit cards, nothing at all in her name, let alone anything that could attach her name to my phone number.)

Caller called from a different number and left a voice mail. She asked to call this number back, supposedly regarding a Discover card. Interestingly the call was not for me; but for a person I do know. Why they are calling me is unknown.
