Caller said he was part of the annual kickoff of a national fundraiser for our officers in the police force, particularly needed after this past year. He asked for a pledged donation of $75, 50, or 25. I explained I am on disability & bills would determine what I could afford. He then went down the amounts & finally asked for a $15 pledged amount. I would do what I could, he stated he was calling from a toll free number which he rattled off very quickly said have a good day & hung up.

Received this number via Facebook Messenger from a "friend" on Instagram and was told to text them to apply for a grant from American Hope Resources. When I called out this person for pretending to be my friend, they immediately unsent this number, but unfortunately for them, I had already taken a screenshot of our conversation with the number still showing.

a recorded message will tell you that they are calling from credit national assistance and they are following up on your inquiry some financial help. they provide this number. I was bored I called it. You can tell it's a scam call when you hear the "boop" sound before someone answer. They identified them self as "National Debt Assistance" I played along. They say they can help you by collecting your name, your address, and yes social security number. Clearly phishing
